University students and young professionals participate in activities which aim to develop leadership and work ethics, deepen their faith, and enlarge and strengthen their friendships in a warm and open setting. University students meet on Monday evenings for spiritual and professional formation and young professionals meet on Wednesday evenings. Other activities include cultural and social gatherings, local outings, study weekends, local and international service projects, community outreach, volunteering and the annual UNIV Congress.
The recollection is a time of reflection and prayer. It includes a talk on Christian life, spiritual reading, meditation and Benediction with the Blessed Sacrament.
The spiritual Recollection is held every 2nd Thursday of the month at Tangara School for Girls.
A great opportunity to deepen ones friendship with God, get to know oneself better and make practical resolutions for everyday life. It includes daily Mass, opportunity for the sacrament of reconciliation, time for personal prayer and talks on central themes related to living a Christian life.
Retreats begin on Friday night at 6pm and finish on Sunday afternoon at 5pm. They are held at Bargo Conference Centre. Transport to and from Bargo can be provided.
Every year during Holy Week, a group of university students travel to Rome to take part in UNIV, an international congress for university students. The participants are encouraged to study and reflect upon the theme for UNIV that year, share experiences and generate innovative ideas to shape future thinking.
In addition to the UNIV Congress in Rome, the group take advantage of the trip to visit another European country to enrich their understanding of the world. If you are interested in participating, please contact us.
