From a young age, Eremeran has equipped the girls with the confidence and skills they need to aspire to their personal best and to make positive contributions in society.
In Years 10-12, we offer a greater variety of community service and the opportunity to become mentors for the younger clubs. Some of the larger activities we organise for them include the Summer Camp, the Launch Out Easter Congress, Service Projects and World Youth Day pilgrimages.
Our Club 7 to 9 is held weekly on Saturday afternoons. The activities change from week to week, exposing the girls to enriching experiences where they can acquire a range of skills.
Eremeran offers monthly recollections and retreats for high school students through to university students. The recollection is a time of reflection and prayer. It includes a talk on Christian life, spiritual reading, meditation, and Benediction with the Blessed Sacrament. The high school recollection is held every 3rd Saturday of the month from 4-6pm.
Weekend retreats are an opportunity to deepen one’s friendship with God, get to know oneself better and make practical resolutions for everyday life. It includes daily Mass, time for personal prayer and talks on central themes related to living a Christian life.
Every afternoon high school students from Year 10-12 come to Eremeran for supervised study sessions. The girls are invited to have afternoon tea followed by two 45 minute study sessions from 4-6pm. Some weeks, the girls have a meditation or a talk which complements their study.
During exam periods more intense study sessions are available at Eremeran, including weekends away. We help the girls to make personal study goals and provide opportunities for them to receive one to one tutoring.
Thursdays: Year 10
Year's 11 & 12 are welcome to attend any afternoon
Eremeran provides training for students who would like to commit to regular volunteer work. The volunteering opportunities are designed to expose students to a variety of human needs in and around Sydney. The main areas of voluntering include visiting elderly people, assisting children and adolescents with special needs, and outreach to migrants and refugees.
The tutors are older high school, university students and mothers who volunteer at the Club. Many of the girls whos tart at Eremeran in Year 5 go on to become tutors for the younger groups and in this way the Study Centre provides real role models for girls of all ages.
A range of fun activities for our Year 7-9 girls is organised throughout the terms. From baking, painting, movie nights, laser tag, ice skating, themed dinners, community service and more - come and join us!
